If the correct manhole keys are not available or the cover is old we are able to use alternative techniques. 
 
When it comes to manhole inspections health and safety is paramount.  Old covers and frames rust, fuse together, have unstable hinges or require large hammers so the risk of back injuries and trapped fingers or toes is heightened.  Once the cover has been lifted we isolate the area using a proportionate barrier system.
