In the past syphon lines, pipelines and ducts filled with murky water were not inspected due to the high cost, high flows and time involved. Indeed, many drainage contractors to this day do not have the capability to resolve this problem.
At Underground Vision we won’t give up, on anything. It’s not in our nature.
Sonar pipeline profiling has become amazingly fast and affordable while achieving outstanding results. We have integrated this instrument with our high-tech software to allow three-dimensional modelling of subsurface pipelines, shafts, and ducts and most common and most importantly syphon lines, as well as real time measurement or defects, the distance travelled, pipe size, and debris.
“Our equipment comprises an underwater scanning transducer (which may be skid, raft, or robotic tractor mounted), a sonar processor unit that can be used in the most demanding of project sites, and a high-resolution colour monitor.”
Anthony Foden & Brad Commins - Directors & Co-Founders
Sonar and CCTV are both useful tools in the underground inspection world, but when combined together, they can provide fantastic results.
Underground Vision are considered one of the industry leaders in the sonar/CCTV inspection field. Our technicians have each logged many miles of inspection, and our unique reporting options ensure that you will receive useful, accurate sonar data and are currently working on projects in trunk sewers in New Zealand and Australia.
